Spring Semester

Spring semester has started! I had my first class yesterday and from the looks of it, it’s going to take a little while to settle into our new routine.

If you remember, I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old. I’m with them 100% of the time (except when our 2 year old goes to his papa’s house and the occasional store run while my husband is home and the 5 month old is sleeping.) So let’s say 97% of the time. They are used to how I do things, so it’s going to be rough for my husband to adapt to me not being there for those couple of hours.

This semester I tried to take easy classes because I knew I couldn’t take on too much with Savannah being so young and still doing night feedings. I really wish there were more hours in the day after bedtime to get everything done! I took Spanish 1 yesterday which is entirely too easy. (Sidenote: A girl and I were talking after class and when I told her I had 2 kids and was married, the look on her face was priceless. I wish I could have recorded it.) I can understand Spanish, but speaking it is another thing. I won’t even speak Spanish in front of my husband. MY HUSBAND. So I’ll use this class as a way to get comfortable speaking it to other people besides my babies.

I also took a music class and political science. I used Ratemyprofessor.com to look up professors before registering this semester. Last year, I could have avoided a horrible English teacher who “never gives out A’s on anything” (cosigned by 15+ people) if I had just looked him up. Anyways, my professor for music requires you to do everything in class, which is perfect for me, and my political science professor is supposed to be really great. I have high hopes for this semester.

Wish me luck! xo.
